Here’s what I don’t understand…Jon Gosselin has just separated from Kate Gosselin. The Gosselin’s have been separated for about 15 seconds and already, Jon is parading around this new piece. I don’t get this. If I had just been through the ringer in a relationship, the last thing I’m going to do is jump back into another relationship, but that’s just me..
Anyway, Jon was spotted out in St Tropez with his new boo Hailey Glassman. How does Jon know Hailey? Well you remember Kate’s famous tummy tuck? Well homegirl Hailey happens to be the surgeon that did it. Ouch! I’m willing to bet Kate would have kept that flabby tummy had she of known the doc hooking her up had actually created her replacement in her husband’s like. But, don’t think for one minute Kate’s going to take this laying down…(This one was for you Michelle).
Eminem is trying to make us forget about the whole Mariah Carey fiasco by impressing us with his historicalness in the video for his latest single “Beautiful”. Eminem sent his flunkies on a mission to dig up a few facts to make us go “awww” about his hometown of Detroit.
In a statemenT, Em says:
“['Beautiful'] is a reminder to keep your head up, and to see who you really are despite what you may be going through. Now that I’ve gotten through the toughest part, I see how the song relates to Detroit, and it feels even more powerful.”
What he meant to say was “everyone, please forget about Mariah dissing me in her new single. I am highly embarrassed and I really kinda wish I’d never spoke her name. Word.
ENews is reporting that Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine, sister LaToya and brother Randy were among those that attended a private wake at Forest Lawn Cemetery late this evening. The family has chosen not to release burial details to the public but, Michael’s body is rumored to be buried at the cemetery as early as 6AM tomorrow morning.
Death is such a sad thing to experience. I couldn’t imagine walking in there, seeing not only the greatest entertainer of all time, but my brother, my father or my son laying in a casket lifeless and on display. This must be extremely hard on the Jackson family and my prayers will always remain with them.
I am pretty sure that I won’t be the only one glued to my monitor tomorrow morning when the footage of Michael Jackson’s memorial service begins to air. All major news outlets are airing live footage of the service, which will include appearances by Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Kobe Bryant, John Mayer, Magic Johnson among others.
There is so much going on in this situation that I can’t wrap my head around any of it. All of the estate questions, Michael’s possible addiction to anesthesia, the custody battle over his three children…it’s just baffling and way too much for me to process. I just hope that whatever happens in all of this will be what Michael would have wanted. No entertainer will ever come close to Michael Jackson and those that knew him and loved him deserve nothing but the utmost respect in what has to be the most horrible time of their lives. RIP Michael.
Like millions of other people in the world, I will never forget where I was on June 25, 2009 when TMZ broke the news of Michael Jackson’s death. A simple text from from my sister read “Michael Jackson died” and reading those words literally took my breath away. I had no inclination that Michael was sick or even near death.
Maybe that’s the blind side of idolizing someone. You can only see the wonderful things about them and are completely oblivious to the painfully obvious signs that they are hurting, lonely or sad. Michael Jackson represented joy for so many people. He was the ultimate icon with decades worth of timeless music. I have so many childhood memories of my family being home dancing to Michael’s music, my sister being scared of the Thriller video and me being super convinced that Michael had special powers that made the sidewalk light up in the Billy Jean video! No matter how much I tried, the sidewalk never lit up when I walked on it!
Michael Jackson is disputably one of the biggest stars in the world so naturally, there will be mystery and all sorts of accusations about his death but here’s what we do know to be true:
*Michael Jackson’s mother Katherine has been granted temporary custody of Michael’s three children
*There WILL be a public memorial for Michael next week however, it will NOT be at Neverland as previously reported as Michael was very clear about never wanting to return there and the Jackson family will honor his wishes.
*The DEA will assist the LAPD in tracking the source of Jackson’s various prescription drugs.
*Although the autopsy is complete, the exact cause of death will not be known for another 4-6 weeks.
Michael’s body is currently in an undisclosed location for obvious reasons. May he rest in peace.
I swore I’d never do it but uh…here goes nothing! So Jon and Kate Gosselin officially announced they were separating after 10 years of marriage. See, this is why I spit in the eye of marriage! Does anyone stay married anymore? Does anyone have staying power anymore? I’ve watched a few episodes of this show and ok,maybe Kate is a little controlling and demanding and sometimes a flat out bish but, Jon also has some issues he needs to work on. Cheating is never the answer. You don’t work on your marriage by sleeping with someone else. I don’t know why these two didn’t immediately get into therapy the second they realized homegirl was having six more babies. Clearly the mental is going to take a beating when you have that much going on.
Anyway, I thought the big announcement would be that these two were sending their show into never ending hiatus but the announcement was that these two had actually decided to quit each other. Then the network also came out and announced that the show was actually going on hiatus as well.
Overall, I just hope someone is looking out for those kids. I am hoping that Jon and Kate will cancel this show, focus on the marriage and get their ish back together. Sad thing is, they’re in this forever. Canceling the show won’t make the paps back off. There will only be MORE interest since there’s no show to keep everyone updated.People will want to know if they’re dating someone new, trying to work things out etc…Fascination with celebs is nothing new but I’m sure these two didn’t think they were signing up for this madness. Ah well. Good luck to both of em.
There are very few couples that make me second guess my belief that marriage is one of the most horrific things two people could ever do to each other and one of them is Will and Jada. I don’t know what’s in their sauce but their love meter is still on full after 11 years of marriage. I consider that amazing. I can’t be around my BF for 11 minutes without wanting to smash his head into the wall. Wait…I must remember my breathing exercises before I get upset again…
Now, where was I? Oh, Will accompanied Jada to a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman (Jada was there to promote her new series Hawthorne) and they still look genuinely happy. I have to wonder though…At that level of marriage, does it just become a machine? I mean, they’ve got the kids, they’ve got their careers, their kid’s careers…It would be a little much to break a link in the chain. Then again, when you’re married due to circumstance, there’s the strained look in the eyes. Not the genuinely dewy glow like these two have. Really, I don’t even know what I’m talking about but, here are the pics.
Mariah Carey has a new single out and damnit, I love it! Already! Mariah is musically number one in my book but, it takes me a while to get into her singles. Once I buy her CD, I listen to the first 30 seconds of every track and then put it on the shelf. I can pick her hits by which tracks stick in my head. So I start paying those first. Then the rest of the CD sinks in and I fall in love with he all over again.
I really don’t know why I felt it was important to write that but, anyhoot. Here is MCC’s new track called “Obsessed”. Lots of folks are saying this is MCC firing back at Eminem and I don’t know if it is or isn’t. I just now I love it! What do you think?
I must admit that I’m pretty shocked the Beyonce stans aren’t blowing up the blogs talking about how Mariah only named this song “Obsessed” to try to be like Beyonce. You know they think the sun only rises to prevent the Queen of Creole coochie poppie from stubbing her toe in the darkness.
Man, I bet Jennifer Hudson really thought she hit the jackpot when she came across David “Punk” Otunga. David is a very well mannered Harvard educated lawyer hailing from Chi-Town. He’s good looking, nice body, good job, respectful etc. etc. How long do you think it took David to hit her with the whole “baby, I wanna be a wrestler” thing? She probably wasn’t surprised. Harvard is known for churning out the world’s best wrestlers right?
I don’t know about JHud but I’d be SMDH! Not only did David decide to become a wrestler, he also decided to name himself Dawson Alexander. What in the world is a Dawson Alexander? Oh lord…Well, at least he’s got a job! Which is more than I can say for some folks with a baby on the way.
My cousin Michelle is always nagging me about the lack of Brad and Angelina and Jon and Kate Plus 8 posts on my blog so, I’ve decided to dedicate just one post to her. I’ll brief you in my history with these folks. I love JENNIFER ANISTON. I adore her. Brad was just “aight” in my book. I really dug Angelina Jolie. She was my girl crush for a super duper long time. I really loved her movies and I thought she and Mad were so cute together. Then along came Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I thought it was a great movie. I really enjoyed it. You know what happened next. I had to choose between Jennifer and Angelina. I made the choice to join team Aniston and I’ve never looked back. Is it stupid? Yes…but so is having a raffle to find out which restaurant you’re getting take out from and I do that everyday…
